As the humanitarian crisis in Gaza worsens, many families are being displaced. About 13,000 people have fled their homes because of Israel's continuing assault on Gaza. Many lived on the outskirts of the Strip and are now in Gaza City, staying at UN schools that have been turned into makeshift shelters. Sherine Tadros spoke to some Gazans who say there is nowhere they feel safe.

Forced out of their homeland by Myanmar's military government, more than 20,000 Myanmar Muslims, known as the Rohingya, now live in two increasingly dilapidated border camps in Bangladesh. As Morgan Tsvangirai, the leader of the opposition Movement for Democratic Change (MDC), finds refuge in the Dutch embassy in Zimbabwe, about 200 Zimbabweans have taken refuge at the South African Embassy in Harare. They say they are victims of persecution by supporters of Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe because they voted for the opposition Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) in the first round of the presidential vote.
