January 8th, 2009 at 09:10:39 shane at 1:25? i'm not sure is it he?
January 8th, 2009 at 09:33:38 We are the world!!! thats exactly the song i was thinking of!! but Ronnie Drew was a legend so i suppose any tribute is well warranted RIP Ronnie Drew
January 8th, 2009 at 09:56:37 It had a very 'We are the World' (or whatever that song is called) feel to it, where celebs lock hands and sway back-and-forth. But, to agree with jimmieteemm, it was mostly Bono who ruined it... and, as you point out, the chorus. Still, it's nice to see people honoring such a fine man as Ronnie.
January 8th, 2009 at 10:19:36 Bono was the only one who cheapend it Shane MacGowan FTW
January 8th, 2009 at 10:42:35 yeah i kinda agree with horseflu on that way, it sounds a bit cheesy, i mean i loved ronnie drew but i was kinda cringing during the chorus!!
January 8th, 2009 at 11:05:34 Man, I LOVE Ronnie, but this song was just too bad to be a tribute. It was a handful of tired old fame-mongers peacocking their faces. The tune itself sounded cheap, whereas Ronnie's songs were gruff, "working class", and tinged with strange nostalgia. As the old saying goes, "wherever there is Bono, there is shit nearby."
January 8th, 2009 at 11:28:33 Im from Costa Rica I dont know who was Ronnie Drew(im going to look in internet) but that song sounds great
January 8th, 2009 at 11:51:32 You shold look him up here on youtube. He was a man with a wealth of talen and he will be sadly missed by the world.
January 8th, 2009 at 12:14:31 Oh Ronnie...rest in peace. I got upset as I heard that you had passed away. But I hope you are in a better place now. Rest in peace.

January 8th, 2009 at 13:46:27 am i seeing things, or was that Joe Elliot of Def Leppard at 3:59? Dubliners and Def Leppard, two of the best with deceased members. RIP Luke, Ronnie and Steve.
