January 8th, 2009 at 05:08:48 My cats LOVE this stuff. No joke.
January 8th, 2009 at 05:31:47 yr animation teacher bores me to tears.
January 8th, 2009 at 05:54:46 It's brilliant when you think that every frame is hand-drawn and synchcronises perfectly with the music. Plus it's entertaining. I like it but not my favourite, I like Vertical Lines a lot. :-)
January 8th, 2009 at 06:17:45 Like my animation teacher said with an extremely sarcastic voice: «EVERYBODY LOVES NORMAN MCLAREN!»
January 8th, 2009 at 06:40:44 Did he invent pong with this animation?
January 8th, 2009 at 07:03:43 Hand-crafted brilliance I reckon.......but hard to explain the wow-factor to kids reared on the iTunes visualiser
January 8th, 2009 at 07:26:42 incredible

January 8th, 2009 at 08:58:38 It would entartain and amaze ppl if they knew about this director importance in cinema history. I would suggest anyone to check him out through specific reading. he explored the medium as seldom other did.
January 8th, 2009 at 09:21:37 Playful, lively, brilliant.
January 8th, 2009 at 09:44:36 hehehe why brilliant??? was that sarcasm??? :S
January 8th, 2009 at 10:07:35 Brilliant equisxxxxxxx McLaren was born in Scotland, emigrated to Canada where he made animation history. So, he is a Scottish-born Canadian via a brief stint in the USA.
January 8th, 2009 at 10:30:34 scottish
January 8th, 2009 at 10:53:33 So many people complaining about this animation, and not in very good ways either. The most I hear is "DIS IZ DER BORENG!" which is a terrible way of expressing your dislike for something. Personally, I think this is pretty amazing and entertained me the whole way through. But if you have a reason why you think this isn't good then by all means, express it in a way that sounds more intelligent than a third grader. Otherwise you'll just look like an idiot.
January 8th, 2009 at 11:16:32 Actually it is not even decades close to "the birth of animation" but you are correct along with other commentors who note that essentially eggmanRobtonik is ignorant of the pioneering artistry of a truly great Canadian.
January 8th, 2009 at 11:39:31 eggmanrobotmik, so sad for you! but is fine if your are 13 years old, mclaren is an pioner and you are an weird! AMAZING!
January 8th, 2009 at 12:02:30 You are lucky the man did devote himself to his work, without this video, none of your favourite films like toy story or micky mouse would exist. Let alone video games. This is the birth of animation. Respect it. Even if you don't understand.
January 8th, 2009 at 12:25:29 Mclaren was a pioneer and this is a groundbreaking work of art. Those who find it boring should watch it again as a love story, comparable to 'When Harry Met Sally'. This is one of many ways to watch it.
January 8th, 2009 at 12:48:28 The film is 3 minutes and 18 seconds long. That's 198 seconds. Film projections play back at 24 frames per second. That means he animated about 4,752 individual frames, each one in synch with the music.
January 8th, 2009 at 13:11:27 so does ur shitty splling (sic)
January 8th, 2009 at 13:34:26 the only thing that makes this "special" is that it was done on 35mm film, but that's not enough to make it interesting. the repetative movements and jarring flashes get real boring rel quick.
