January 8th, 2009 at 06:51:04 The name "Queen" may have been Freddie's idea but the band was a democracy. May and Taylor agreed on the name. The band was more than just Freddie, even if he was the main reason for their success. You will find that a lot of bands continue without their original members. A perfect example of this would be Journey. You don't see people complaining that they still call themselves Journey even though most of the original band members aren't with them anymore.
January 8th, 2009 at 07:14:03 Great song! Love the guitar riff! Personally, find the 'ET' version rather, um, ironic! And I really don't care what they call the band - as long as they are still making music. Don't ya think Freddie would be happy to know that his dear friends are still creating???? Let it go, already!!
January 8th, 2009 at 07:37:02 Yes, but Taylor and May, were "smile", then formed with mercury and deacon Queen. then queen are: May, Deacon, Taylor, and Mercury. should not be Queen + PR, should be: May + + Rodger Taylor, or something and besides, the idea is called "Queen" was Mercury. before May and Taylor were "smile
January 8th, 2009 at 08:00:01 You do know that Brian May and Roger Taylor were two of the original members of the band that came to be known as Queen? That was in 1968. Freddie didn't join until 1970. John Deacon didn't even join until that following year. Brian and Roger are still Queen. They don't count Paul Rodgers as part of the band. Hence the name Queen + Paul Rodgers.
January 8th, 2009 at 08:23:00 I think they sound great. The cd is excellent. Hopefully they'll tour the states again. Paul is a great singer. He isn't trying to replace Freddie at all. They all know that he was irreplaceable. I respect Brian and Roger's decision to go on as "Queen plus Paul Rodgers". They are the founding members, after all.
January 8th, 2009 at 08:45:59 Rodgers's voice sucks, should do as many, by the absence of Freddie, have made another band, but do not use the name of Queen, in this combination disproportionate
January 8th, 2009 at 09:08:58 They are Taylor, May and Rodgers, Queen are: Deacon, Mercury, May, and Taylor. should not be called "Queen"
January 8th, 2009 at 09:31:57 Brian May is still great, Roger Taylor is still great, but they don't work well with Paul Rodgers. The song sounds like classic Queen, but Taylor really doesn't belong in it.
January 8th, 2009 at 09:54:56 YEAH!!! GREAT!
January 8th, 2009 at 10:17:55 Good Song, Good Video. One comment. Is that Danny Maranda on Bass????? Sure it is...... They Could have show his face a bit more and gave him a plug. Very Very Weak..
January 8th, 2009 at 10:40:54 i like it. If ya forget the freddie comparisions and just listen to the music. Queen were good and so were bad company, combine the two and its sorted.
January 8th, 2009 at 11:03:53 have you even heard the album? probably not
January 8th, 2009 at 11:26:52 Honour to JOHN DEACON!
January 8th, 2009 at 11:49:51 than itill be better than you then
January 8th, 2009 at 12:12:50 paul rogers was in free and bad company, i bought my dad tickets to go see them at the o2 in october and he said they were amazing! Freddie mercury is a absolute legend and paul rogers cant replace him i agree, but thats why they are not just doing covers and have a whole new album with new original song. While im here, if u havent seen it, go and see we will rock you! its immense!!!
January 8th, 2009 at 12:35:49 He's was the front man of "Bad Company" so dont say anything unless you know what you're talking about
January 8th, 2009 at 12:58:48 No freddie, no queen
January 8th, 2009 at 13:21:47 Freddie was the best singer ever. Paul is better than average. Paul will be always compared with Freddie, every day, and he will lose in this comparison...
January 8th, 2009 at 13:44:46 Even Jesus died
January 8th, 2009 at 14:07:45 OH MY WORD !!!! I'm speechless-sounds like a student band DREADFUL
January 8th, 2009 at 14:30:44 They didn't replace Freddie, that's why it's Queen + Paul Rogers... It's half of Queen plus Paul Rogers, a completely new band.
January 8th, 2009 at 14:53:43 It's nice that"Q+P.R." don't sound like a cover band of themselves anymore. Freddie was the greatest no doubt, but you can't live with somebody's ghost and have your own life.
January 8th, 2009 at 15:16:42 he was singing for the band "free"! Now shut up fucking incult
January 8th, 2009 at 15:39:41 i personally think that this is better then queen. alot better maybe not this song but cosmos rockin deff is
January 8th, 2009 at 16:02:40 paul is as good as freddie :)
